The club are delighted to announce the signing of South African Darryl Brown. Darryl is a 33 year old fast medium bowler, and top order bat. To date he has played 100 first class games for Border, scoring over 3500 first class runs and taking 193 wickets. He brings a wealth of experience to England, To date in first class cricket, he has 2x 100s and 21x 50s to his name, along with 4 wickets on 10 occasions. The club sourced Darryl via CricIntro, Thanks to the help of Gary Hunt.

Thanks go to outgoing professional Chris Williams. Chris joined the club in 2013, ironically making his debut against Middleton who he has now joined as professional. In his first season Chris bowled the 2nd most amount of overs in the league, ending the season with over 80 wickets for the club along with 800 runs. The club missed out on promotion to the top tier of the CLL, finishing 3rd but claiming Oldham Subsidary trophy. The team also reached 20/20 finals day, thanks largely to William's contributions. In his 2nd season he took over the captaincy, and guided the team to 2nd in the league and thus securing promotion with a game to spare. Chris's stats were just as impressive as his 1st season at the club, and like the 1st year he managed a solitary ton, this time against Crompton. 2015 season saw the last year of the Central Lancashire League, and the fixtures were much tougher in the top tier, the team however managed to finish 7th, and William's impressive performances earned him another contract with the club. 2016 saw the club join the top tier of the Greater Manchester Cricket League, and the team struggled to recover from poor early start. An impressive 115* v Prestwich and 5 wickets, along with equally impressive performances against Bury and Clifton hauled the team out of the relegation zone. Unfortunately the team went down on the last game of the season despite a win in final game. Chris ended the season with over 550 runs and 41 wickets for the club in 2016.
