The club are delighted to announce the signing of South African International Cricketer Mangaliso Mosehle. Mosehle is a current international playing 3 games for South Africa in January of this year, where he kept wicket and batted in the middle order. His 3 games includes a blistering 32 not out off just 15 balls v Sri Lanka. He joins the club after the Home Office refused a visa for Darryl Brown. Mosehle is not the first international cricketer to play for Unsworth. In 2010, Faf Du Plessis was the stand in professional against Middleton, he has now played over 170 games for South Africa. In 1995 the club also had the services of West Indian, Gus Logie. Gus was part of the 1984 touring party to England which famously “blackwashed” England 5-0 on home soil.

With the signings of Kendrick Hatton, Leighton Friend and Aman Arora already secured for the season, the club can look forward optimistically to the season. Winter nets continue at Total Cricket in Ashton on Thursday Nights at 8pm. New players always welcome. The club would like to thank Complete Cricket Agency for securing the services of Mangaliso. And of course wish outgoing professional Chris Williams all the best who has joined Middleton.
