After last weekends poor performance the Reds returned to wining ways even after three cry offs just before the game in Quinny , K , and the elusive Morgs .
We started with our best keeper Luke in nets against a side who took a point off Elton Vale last week , Devan upfront to give us more firepower and strength , Josh in at right back and Joe in centre midfield .
Despite going 1-0 down to a free kick the lads looked bright and were working hard right across the pitch as a team which was super to see and Unsworth got back in the game with a handball in the box which Dev fired in with his usual power and nonchalance to give the keeper no chance .
This was added to from the spot when Dev was put in by Lewis and upended in a clear penalty to make it 2-1 .
This was the score at half time when all we asked of the lads was more of the same and to hold the ball up slightly better up front and for better movement off the ball .
This they did in abundance in the second half as first the inspirational Oisin found Lewis who missed the target .

Shortly after this though the strength of Devan pushed their defender off the ball in a 1:1 and he finished with aplomb looking as though he had played up front all his life . It has to be said few others would have scored this goal from that position .
Then Lewis was robbed of a quality goal from outside the box beating the keeper coming off the bar rippling the netting and bouncing also over the line but not being 100% the ref did not give it ! Even the coach from Boundary Park said it was a goal but credit to us we just carried on regardless with the ever reliable Luke hardly in the game in our nets.
There only real chance was from a break from an Unsworth corner which left 3 on 3 but the forward blazed high over the bar .
The game was put beyond doubt when Devan kept on side and was put in from a simple midfield ball from Joe to run from the centre spot to the edge of the box and to finish nicely .
Devan then scored a wonder goal which had echoes of Wayne Rooneys wondergoal against City executed perfectly over his shoulder and for the over head kick to leave the ball nestling in the back of the net only for the ref to disallow it presumably for dangerous play . But what a debut up front !!
Maybe we have found our new centre forward within our own ranks because Dev has all the attributes required of a number nine but has to repeat it next week to show he can do it consistently .
Some best of season performances must be mentioned of Josh , Jack,Joe , Lewis added to the consistency of the likes of Oisin , Luke, Joel and Rob .
Brilliant result in the circumstances and if we can add players to the squad I have no doubt we can challenge the best sides in this division .
