Having taken an age to mark the pitch from scratch once again and to remove a puddle the size of a pond I was hoping the lads would respond favourably playing at home for the first time in months .
It didn't quite work out like that having not played a game for a few weeks but it was obvious from the sidelines that initially we were losing the battle in central midfield with not one tackle of note in the first fifteen minutes but very few in the way of chances on goal for either side .

However as soon as we moved Oisin into the centre , Joe sitting in front of the back four and Samir to the left we started to wrestle control of the ball from the opposition .
Oisin soon won the ball , made a quick one two with Rowie and then put in Devan who made it 1-0 .
Rowie then found Samir on the left who managed to squeeze the ball past the keeper to make it 2-0 . With Oisin alongside him it gives Rowie the freedom to get forward to support Devan and this he does in abundance .
Devan then had another effort well saved and Lewis missed a chance . But the latter then produced one of his magic dribbles beating two men but his little dink not quite working which would have been tremendous had the ball ended up in the back of the net .
The goal of the game came shortly after, a move not many teams can produce worked nicely from back to front , Josh finding O who brought in Josh again in a triangle movement off the ball and the ball then found Rowie who took the ball on his chest swivelled and found the back of the net superbly to make it 3-0 at half time .
Joe and Dan had to go around half time so this gave us the breathing space we needed with Dylan making his debut and Ben coming on for the second half .
Dylan made an immediate impact getting on the end of a Lewis , Devan move with the latter shooting and Dylan picking up the pieces with almost his first touch to make it 4-0 .
Rowie then hit the bar from a well awarded free kick in what was the best refereeing performance of the season in the second half . Devan followed it up to score his second and make it 5-0 .
The lads need to learn to keep their shape when we are winning comfortably as they all want to get on the scoresheet . What invariably happens is the opposition score as they find more space when this happens .
This moves us up to third with games in hand and the fixtures against Elton Vale now becoming all important fixtures . The second half of the season should be fun if we keep up this form in the League and we have a semi final to look forward to against either Whitworth or Wythenshawe in the League Cup
