The Reds started with a bare twelve with Dan injured and Joe H and Rowie sick to leave Ben at left back and Luke S in front of the back four having impressed in training recently with his super attitude and work rate .
The match began with a one minute silence to mark the passing of Marks granddad who would have loved this game and been applauding from above for both the team and Mark who pulled off a number of great saves . We will miss his friendly face on the side lines at most of our games .
The first half saw possession fairly equal with both sides pressing but it must be said that Unsworth had the best chances with Mark largely unworked except for long distance shots .
Our first real effort saw a great throw from Mark put in Marcus who found Morgan but their keeper saved really well from a cracking strike . This was followed shortly after with Lewis putting in Marcus for their number 1 to again pull off a fine save .
Our last chance saw Lewis cross to Marcus who could not quite get in the power on his head he would have liked and the keeper made an easy save . This left a stalemate at half time at 0-0 .
Our discussion at half time was to just keep the work rate going but to take the chances with our quality as we really should have been ahead at half time but it was pleasing in terms of effort and attitude .

The second half started with Hough End in a higher gear and Mark was a lot busier pulling off one great save to his right and standing tall when needed .
In between Jack put in a fine curling free kick coming across the six yard box and all it needed was positivity and any kind of touch to nudge the ball across the line .
Marcus then made a lovely run down the right all left foot beating two Hough End defenders but the keeper pulled off a really good save in a one on one .
Mark then pulled off two good saves and it has to be said the momentum was building up in their favour and in honesty it was not a surprise when they took the lead with a nice finish in the bottom left hand corner .
Just as we said at half time quality then took hold of the game . Man of the Match Morgan who is back to his best over the last three games turned Hough End inside out found Lewis on the right then put in the hard work required of a striker to get on to the end of a simple pass taking the ball in his stride to pass the ball wonderfully into the net to make it 1-1 and game on .
From here the momentum was ours and it was no surprise that our Best and Law , Bell and Lee , in Marcus and Morgan found the former putting in Morgs to score the winner and his second . Hough End were gutted and a draw may well have been the fair result but as I have always said if we put in the hard work and Morgan and Marcus are fired up we really can beat anyone .It really is wonderful to have two natural strikers in the team again as goals win games .
A big well done to all the lads especially Ben and Luke S who deputised really well but particularly Mark who Granddad will be proud of .
